Saturday sensory art sessions

Doodles offers sensory arts and crafts sessions for children aged 5-13 with additional needs. We have a wholly child-centred approach, specifically designing sessions and activities that keep the individual interests and needs of each child at the forefront of our delivery

 

What you need to know:

• ​For children with additional needs aged 5 - 13

• Children using this service must have a Gateway Card PLUS available from the Short Breaks scheme run by the Isle of Wight Council

• Sessions run every Saturday at the Connect Centre in Newport from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.00pm to 4.00pm

• Activities include seasonal arts & crafts, sensory tactile activities, construction play, and our sensory zone complete with blackout tents, bubble tubes and lights

• In each session we provide a a different focus activity that changes weekly - for example cake decorating, salt dough craft, sensory tactile play, t-shirt painting and so much more!!

• Drinks are provided throughout the day, children should bring a packed lunch with them

• Costs £7.50 per session per child. Booking is essential

• These sessions are funded through the Short Breaks scheme run by the Isle of Wight Council
